OFFICIAL NOTICE — Research Fellowship Applications Now Open
The Arbitrary Research Institute (ARI) is pleased to announce that applications for the ARI Research Fellowship are now open.
WHAT IS THE FELLOWSHIP? ARI is a non-profit research organization based in Bangladesh. The fellowship is a volunteer, mentorship-driven programme for students who want to do serious research alongside experienced supervisors — with weekly meetings, team projects, and a path toward publishing at reputable venues.
WHO CAN APPLY? • Undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year • Graduate students • Master's students
Applicants must be willing to commit 5, 10, 15, or 20 hours per week and attend weekly supervisor meetings.
WHAT YOU GET • Direct mentorship from an ARI supervisor • Weekly research meetings and structured progress reviews • Opportunity to co-author papers (authorship based on contribution) • Certification on completion • A strong reference letter from your supervisor • A collaborative research environment (and yes — coffee)
WHAT WE DO NOT PROVIDE This is a non-profit volunteer programme. There is no salary or stipend.
AVAILABLE SUPERVISORS Applicants choose one supervisor during the application process: • Md Fahim — AI Engineer, Penta Global Ltd (Multimodal Models, LLMs, Deep Learning Theory) • Md Ashikur Rahman — Lead AI Engineer, The Kow Company (Generative AI, LLMs, Computer Vision) • Abid Hossain — Lecturer, Daffodil International University (Applied Mathematics, CFD, Simulation) • Abdullah Ibne Hanif Arean — Junior AI Researcher (NLP, 3D Vision, Graph Learning)

- Read the programme overview
- Choose your preferred supervisor
- Submit your details, motivation letter, research interest, and CV (PDF)
IMPORTANT — MOTIVATION LETTER Your motivation letter (minimum 400 characters) must clearly explain: • Why you want to do research • Your area of interest • Why you chose that specific supervisor • Which conference or journal venue you are targeting
We read every motivation letter carefully before deciding on interviews. Take your time.
APPLICATION REVIEW After submission you will receive a confirmation email. Your chosen supervisor and the ARI team will review your application. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly for an interview.
DEADLINE Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply early.
